Since 2010, the mission of the dance program has been to educate students in the art and science of dance. The B.S. in Dance Science offers students the opportunity to combine the aesthetics of dance with the sciences that govern it. We provide students with a personalized approach to dance training through hands-on, field-based experiences including technical production, dance science research, and Pilates. Programs offered: BS in Dance Science, Dance Performance Minor, Choreography Minor.
At the Event: Participating students will not need to audition again. Please provide GPA and corresponding scale as well as class rank.
Scholarships: Summer Intensive (Partial and Full $500-$1,400). Tuition, Research, Study Abroad, First Generations Student Success, and more available.

Whether you major or minor in dance, you’ll get intense instruction and training, regular participation in performances and endless opportunities to explore every aspect of life alongside a comprehensive dance program. The Hope dance program is a place to grow artistically, intellectually, physically and spiritually. We stress rigor and activity, and thrive in the liberal arts environment. It is carefully balanced to provide a foundation in theoretical and technical dance studies, offering opportunities for the individual student to aspire, dream and accomplish. The Ailey School and Ailey/Fordham BFA - NYC
The Ailey/Fordham BFA Program is a four-year joint program offering professional dance training at The Ailey School and an exceptional liberal arts education rooted in the Jesuit tradition of intellectual development and personal attention at Fordham University. Students complete a diverse curriculum while attending both institutions full time. The program offers a comprehensive study of several dance techniques, preparing graduates for a variety of jobs in today's diverse dance profession. Ailey/Fordham BFA students complete a curriculum that includes a carefully designed sequence of dance and liberal arts courses, encouraging students to achieve their artistic and academic potential. At The Ailey School, students take a rigorous schedule of daily classes in ballet, Horton, and Graham-based modern. In addition, students also take a variety of other dance classes and creative courses specific to the BFA in Dance program, including jazz, West African, partnering, and improvisation, among others.
At the Event: ALL applicants must appear in person at one of Ailey’s own auditions. Participants will be evaluated for a chance to receive a recommendation for an invite (this is only if Academic requirements are met) Invites will be received by email by December 1st.

Connecticut College - New London - CT
Step into dance at Connecticut College, and you discover a program shaped by some of the most notable names in the field. The American Dance Festival was held here for 30 years, establishing the College's reputation as a premier place to learn dance. You get the best of all worlds – a strong liberal arts education with an equally strong, comprehensive, supportive and demanding dance program that encourages interdisciplinary exploration. Close to New York City, Boston and Providence many guest artists and performances come to campus. The company-in-residence, David Dorfman Dance, teaches classes and choreographs works with students for a two-week period each semester. Recent guests include Kyle Abraham, Monica Bill Barnes and Faye Driscoll. The department has a rich diversity of technique instruction including: Modern, Hip Hop, West African, Afro-Diasporic, Ballet, and Improvisation. It offers four levels of choreography, including a Capstone project which is developed in a Senior Seminar format. In addition, we have courses in history, writing, anatomy, theories of embodiment, social justice, technology/media, hip hop culture, music, and more. Program Offered: BA.
At the Event: Participants will not need to audition again. Connecticut College is very competitive with a 30% only acceptance rate. Provided all academic requirements are met, dancers selected at this event will be given priority for admissions
